Who are we?
Sudan Kidney Aid (SKA) is a charitable organization that provides kidney dialysis kits to hospital patients in Sudan for free. This is to help relieve the severe shortage of medical supplies in Sudan. For kidney disease patients these medical supplies are required for regular dialysis sessions to stay alive.
Sudan Kidney Aid is registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales under charity registration number: 1210170. The Charity operates from Coventry, UK and is where its trustees are based. It was first registered in September of 2024, but has been in operation since April 2024.
The trustees of the charity are:
- Dr Ali Imam – Chair and Trustee
- Mr Tarig Z Ahmed – Treasurer and Trustee
- Dr Mohamed Samir Sayed – Trustee and Communications
- Mr Ismaeil Ibrahim – Trustee
- Dr Faris Elasha – Trustee
An estimated 8,000 people in Sudan require dialysis to live, according to the International Society of Nephrology (2023). Many have unfortunately lost their lives due to a lack of access to dialysis sessions as a result of the civil war and the ongoing shortage of medical supplies. Sudan Kidney Aid was set up to help alleviate the suffering of these patients by supplying public hospitals with kidney dialysis machines, dialysis kits, and other medical supplies.
Donations from individuals and the community fund all of our work. Please donate to allow us to send regular supplies to patients in Sudan.

The Impact of Your Support
Every contribution to SKA’s dialysis initiative makes a tangible difference in the lives of Sudanese patients. Here are some of the ways your support can transform healthcare outcomes:
- Increased Access to Treatment: Each additional dialysis machine, along with essential medicines and supplies, can serve multiple patients per day, reducing wait times and ensuring that more individuals receive the care they need.
- Improved Health Outcomes: Timely dialysis treatment and access to necessary medicines help prevent complications associated with kidney failure, such as cardiovascular issues and severe infections. This translates to better health and prolonged lives for patients.
- Strengthened Healthcare Infrastructure: By equipping the Sudan Kidney Centres with modern technology, medicines, and supplies, we lay the foundation for a more resilient healthcare system that can address future challenges effectively.
- Community Empowerment: The availability of reliable medical care instills hope and confidence in the community, fostering a sense of security and well-being.
